How It All Started

In the spring of 1989 Linda "Tex" Bryant saw the need for Moore High School alumni to get organized in order to give their support to Moore High School students by awarding scholarships, providing food, clothing, eyeglasses, etc., and contributing to athletics, clubs, and organizations.

She began the paperwork necessary to get the alumni association established as a Not for Profit Corporation with the State of Oklahoma and recognized under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

The Certificate of Incorporation was filed June 28,1989 and the FEI number from the IRS was received July 19,1989.

Since its inception the Association has given approximately $25,000 to support Moore High School students in a variety of activities including Student Scholarships, Student Council, Special Olympics, Student Christmas Baskets, Non-Alcohol After Prom party, Student Calculators, Student Clothing, and other programs.

The Association is funded entirely from alumni memberships, contributions, and fund raising activities.  Donations are tax deductible and always appreciated.
